How to report Issues or Bugs

In case you are experiencing an issue or found a bug, the best way to report it is to open an issue on our Repositories. The quality of the report can greatly improve the chances of the development team being able to replicate, identify and then fix the issue.

Depending on the nature of the issue, there is an appropriate repository to report it to.

Backend bugs

Bugs pertaining to backend are defined as:

  • Instability of the main Volumio process
  • Inconsistencies in music playback or browsing
  • Wrong information reported or no-feedback after action

OS Bugs

Bugs pertaining to OS are defined as:

  • Missing drivers such as Wireless adapters or Audio devices
  • Boot issues (system not starting on specific configurations)

Those bugs can be reported at the Volumio OS Issue Tracker

User Interface (UI) bugs

Bugs pertaining to UI are defined as:

  • Wrong information reported or no-feedback after action

Those bugs can be reported at the Volumio UI Issue Tracker
